FAQ
So, let me introduce myself a little bit now:
My name is Sigrid Maerz, born 1976 and I live in Osnabrueck (Germany) at the moment.
After A-levels ("Abitur") in Muenster I attended a "Voluntary Ecological Year" at the "Niederrhein". After that a two-year training (Sauerland) followed to become a "Biological Technical Assistant". I worked 1,5 years in the public service in the domain of "Human Genetics" in Muenster then.
In addition to my study course (Master of Science in Cell Biology at the University of Osnabrueck) I work as a "BTA" at the subject of "Molecular Microbiology".
Lineolated Parakeets are my "little passion". I keep these interesting birds since 1994 now, and I don't want to miss them. Their cute nature and immense curiosity makes me smile very often. They present a manifold social behaviour, which can be observed as well in collective crawling or ingestions as in little conflicts and arguments. Lineolated Parakeets get in contact to humans quite easily without neglecting contact to their conspecifics. And, they get their way.
Altogether they are interesting "objects" for observation (for behavioural studies) and lovable "flat mates".
Now, please enjoy reading and watching,
sincerely yours,
Sigrid Maerz
